AnDrea “Fuzzy” Lyn Dixon
“A Dream is her paint and the world is her canvas,” perfectly illustrates Chicago’s own rising star, AnDrea “Fuzzy” Lyn Dixon. Fuzzy is an energetic individual who firmly believes that giving back is the key to success and happiness.
At an early age the green-eyed, now 5’10 Artist has always been conspicuous among her peers growing up in the Roseland Community, infamously known as the “Wild 100’s”. Fuzzy studied Business Management at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and was very active in campus life. Once her college matriculation was completed, she moved back to Chicago in 2005. There she began to study at The Second City Chicago developing a passion for acting and performing in front of live audiences. Fuzzy went on to receive formal training in radio and television from The Illinois Center for Broadcasting in 2009. Upon graduating, she interned in the Programming and Promotions Department at Clear Channel’s WGCI 107.5 FM for “The Morning Riot Show”. After quickly gaining recognition for her unique look and energetic personality, her modeling career rocketed and she has been featured in hundreds of fashions shows for local designers, including gracing the runway of the highly acclaimed “Catwalk is on Fire” with the Grammy Award Winning female rap star “LiL Kim”.
Fuzzy has been in numerous stage plays including playing “Ebony” in the hit stage play “Love Won’t Let Go” directed by Damien Hines. In 2010, she worked at WGIV 103.3 while living in Charlotte, NC and hosted many live broadcasts throughout the city. Fuzzy is the co-founder and co-host of Business Spotlight Networking (BSN), a series of networking events that are designed to connect small business owners and entrepreneurs in talk show format. BSN recently teamed up with the Small Business Advocacy Council (SBAC) to host networking events throughout the Chicagoland area.
Fuzzy has worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and is a total people person! She is a professional Bartender and “Home Cook” who has a deep passion for preparing healthy food for the soul. Fuzzy is Mom to a talented and funny teenage son, who is a percussionist and DJ. Fuzzy works diligently on her blog “Oh So Fuzzy” and also has a passion for bringing awareness to mental illness and educating the masses on the importance of safe sex and HIV/AIDS. She enjoys volunteering her time with various agencies including Chicago House and Trilogy Behavioral Health. Having the ability to quickly adapt, Fuzzy’s talent shines bright and will not be easily dimmed. She has captured the attention of audiences, gained the respect of her peers and will definitely be one of the next breakout stars.
